As the candle burns bright, the pen scrapes ink into the paper. My pores begin to open and sweat, the incense tickles my nostril and my tongue swirls the flavour of sweet toothpaste as I write this verse. IT SADDENS ME: To See No - light in the dark feeling from your eyes colour in our world Have I No Eyes ? To Hear No - gurgle from your kiss bird beat its' wing whisper from afar crashing of an ice cube Have I No Ears? To Feel No - pressure on each pore moistness in your touch compassion for all Have I No Hands? To Smell No - sex from your glands grass in the yard food in the store Have I No Nose? To Taste No - flavour in your spit minerals in our water food without additives Have I No Tongue? Society says: I am a normal, mature adult. I say, "senseless children are mature adults". 6/3/87 1:53 am David Paine
